During your holiday in the Wildkogel Arena, discover the most beautiful faces of our fascinating winter world.
The Wildkogel Arena, our family-friendly ski area in the Hohe Tauern National Park Holiday Region, promises magical snow sports for beginners and “pros” on 62 kilometers of perfectly groomed and always-snowy pistes. Whether you prefer a more leisurely pace or hurtling at full speed down the slopes, slicing through the deep-snow on a snowboard or exploring the pristine back country on skis – the Wildkogel-Arena boasts ideal conditions for the widest range of winter sports imaginable. And with pistes that are mainly rated blue or red, the multiple-award-winning ski area on the Wildkogel is outstandingly suited for families, beginners and those skiers returning to the sport after an extended hiatus.
For their part, the youngsters are able to playfully learn the art of skiing in Kogel-Mogel Kinderland.
Located only a few kilometers away and easy to reach by car or ski shuttle are the ski areas of the Zillertal Arena (139 piste kilometers) as well as the Panorama Lift in Hollersbach, which is your gateway to the greater Kitzbühel ski area (170 km of pistes). In other words, 3 different nearby ski areas promise boundless skiing enjoyment.
For a truly extraordinary experience, you simply have to go sledding on the world’s longest toboggan run – an astonishing 14 km from top to bottom!!!
That said, quiet strolls along cleared winter hiking paths, sleigh rides, torchlight hikes, cross-country skiing (a trail runs right past our house) and snowshoeing – and not to forget the iced-over Krimml Waterfalls – all present irresistible opportunities to discover the unsurpassed beauty of winter as well.
